The Electoral Commission (EC) will from September 9-10 exhibit the provisional voters register for those who participated in the recently held National Health Insurance re-registration and the continuous voter registration exercises.
A statement issued in Accra said the exercise would take place at all district offices of the Commission across the country.
It said provisional voters register for prisoners will take place concurrently at the various prisons.
The statement urged all registered political parties to deploy their agents to monitor the process at all designated exhibition centres.
“We urge all registered political parties to endeavour to deploy their agents to monitor the process at all designated exhibition centres,” the statement indicated.
In a related development, the EC said it would, from Wednesday, September 7, begin a weekly voter engagement television show to educate the public on electoral issues.
According to a statement issued by the EC, the programme, known as “#ASKTHEEC, is a highly interactive audience-led programme which will be aired at 8:30pm every Wednesday on GTV.
It said: “#ASKTHEEC is a highly interactive, audience-led programme which will feature senior officers of the EC and key stakeholders answering pertinent questions from a live studio audience about the electoral process”.
The statement indicated that “If you wish to be considered to be part of the studio audience and get the chance to ask your questions live on the show, kindly send your full name, and mobile number to email@example.com., adding that ” Prospective participants are expected to submit their contact details to the Media Office of the EC today.”
