FORMER Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah, accompanied by founder of Civil Society Organisation New Africa Ghana and president of Petronia City Development, Nana Kwame Bediako, have delivered some relief items to some victims of the flood at Adabraka, a suburb of Accra.
According to Appiah, the general public should lend a helping hand to the victims of the flood in what he described as a “difficult time” for the nation.
“What I have witnessed here today, is really sad, the manner in which the people showed their appreciation and happiness just because of the water we have provided for them is touching.
“I want to use this opportunity to tell my fellow Ghanaians that in our own small way, we can help these people because these are hard times,” a distraught Appiah told Citi News.
He further stated that for such an incident to be avoided in future a change in attitude is required from the general public.
