The Chief Director of the Greater Accra Regional Co-coordinating Council, Ernest Nyagbey, has appealed to benevolent individuals and organisations to donate items and cash to assist victims of last week Wednesday’s flood and fire disaster.

He made the appeal when some staff of Everpure Ghana Limited donated items worth GH¢4,000 to the Council to support the disaster victims.

The items included 1,000 bags of sachet water and 20 boxes of bottled mineral water.

Mr. Nyagbey said: “It is gratifying to note that Ghanaians are responding overwhelmingly to the wellbeing of victims of the disaster. Unfortunate as it is, we believe there are many other individuals and institutions that can do better than they have done now.”

Government, he noted was equally playing a critical part to help assist the victims.

Mr Martin Asamoah Asare, General Manager of Everpure Ghana Limited, said the donation was in line with his firm’s social responsibility demands.
