Ekow Simple was over the weekend crowned the champion in an open invitational draught championship organised by Adabraka Friendship Club and sponsored by the aspiring Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, Mr. Philip Addison.
The overall winner and the two runners-up were given cash prizes by the MP.
The championship attracted about 30 contenders from both Klottey-Korle and Odododiodioo constituencies.
Many people from across the constituency converged at the PMC Square where the event was held to support their favourites and also observe the best of draught plays.
In a short message after presenting the prizes, Mr. Addison commended the players for showing good sportsmanship during the event which lasted almost the whole day.
He advised the youth to participate fully in the upcoming presidential and general election in order to elect credible personalities to those high offices.
The aspiring MP said, if voted into office, he will seek to transform both the social and economic lives of the electorates in the constituency and therefore appealed for them to vote for him.
