Effutu Schools Get Support

The Chosen Generation Young Stars, a non-governmental organisation based in the United Kingdom has donated teaching and learning materials worth over GH¢30,000 to some selected schools in the Effutu Municipality in the Central region.

The items are made up of 120 slates, 1,200 exercises books, set of rules board, boxes of pens and color pencils, teachers not books and erasers.

The items were presented to the Effutu Municipal Directorate of Ghana Education Service for distribution to the Presbyterian Primary, A.M.E Zion A & B and Municipal Assembly A & B Schools.

Nana Agyire Quainoo and Miss Sandra Serwah Ghartey-Tagoe, both from Winneba and currently based in London as well as members of the NGO, made the presentation the office of the GES in Winneba.

The Chosen Generation Young Stars is an Organisation made up young scholars, and solicits funds to purchase teaching and learning materials for underprivileged students and pupils to assist them in their education.

Mrs Hilda Hagan, Effutu Municipal Director of Education, who received the Items, expressed her gratitude to the donors and appealed to other philanthropists to extend a helping hand to schools in the area to complement government’s efforts.
