The Catholic Bishop of the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, Most Reverend John Bonaventure Kwofie, has cut the sod for work to begin on the construction of a multi-purpose hall for the Christ the King Catholic Parish at Effiakuma in the Western Region.
The Parish Priest of the Christ the King Parish, Rev. Fr. Martin De Porres Hattoh, told The Ghanaian Times that the edifice would be a two-storey building, comprising offices for the parish priest, his assistant, office for catechist, and an infirmary.
He said the first floor will be made up of meeting halls, two store rooms, four water closets, and the second floor, the main hall, eight water closets and two store rooms.
Rev. Fr. Hattoh appealed to stakeholders in the parish to contribute towards the project.
