E. Regional Minister Survives Motor Accident

The Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, has been involved in an accident on the Akuampem Ridge.

He sustained minor injuries in the accident on Tuesday nightand was rushed to the Tetteh Quarshie Government Hospital at Mampong, where he was treated and discharged yesterday morning.

Three occupants in the other vehicle were still on admission at the  hospital yesterday, receiving treatment.

The Regional Minister was said to be driving home after an official assignment in Accra, when his Toyota Land Cruiser collided head-on with  a four-wheel vehicle from the opposite direction.

The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Co-ordinating Council, Prosper Fetor Tsormana told The Ghanaian Times that the Minister was alone in the vehicle.

The Motor Traffic and Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service is investigating the incident.
