A 48-year-old driver, Asare Jehuson, and his mate, Sule Musah, 19, are in the grips of the Begoro Police for stealing 16 cows from a kraal at Amanfroso, near Dedesu, in the Eastern Region.
The two are currently in police custody, while the vehicle and the cows have been impounded pending investigations.
Briefing The Ghanaian Times, the Head of Eastern Regional Police Public Relations, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, said the complainant, Ebenezer Nartey, reported the theft of his cattle to the Begoro police on January 19.
Later, Mr. Nartey, assisted by the police, intercepted a KIA Rhino with the registration number GT 5065-12, carrying the 16 stolen cows at the Adukrom barrier, at about 8 a.m. on January 23, and handed the two suspects over to the Begoro police.
