Those were Demba Ba’s first words in hospital after waking up from the horrific leg break which he suffered while playing for his team Shanghai Shenhua against Shanghai SIPG on Sunday.

Demba Ba is visited by Obafemi Martins in hospital after his leg break.

The 31-year-old will undergo surgery this weekend in Shanghai by French doctors.

After the game, his manager at Shanghai Shenhua, Gregorio Manzano, said: “It could end his professional career.”

Former Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins, who also plays his football in China for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, has visited Ba in hospital.

Ba scored 43 goals in the Premier League at spells with West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea, and all those clubs were quick to send on their regards to the Senegalese striker.

Demba Ba was seen clutching his leg after the potentially career-ending injury.

Ba, who joined Shenhua from Turkish side Besiktas in June 2015, is the top scorer in China’s top division this season, with 14 goals in 18 league games. – The Sun
