Delta Air Lines Opens Second Sky Deck

Delta-IFWTDelta has opened its second Sky Deck in the  U.S. at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport International’s Terminal.
The 1,710-square-foot outdoor terrace provides customers a distinctive space with unprecedented runway views at the world’s busiest airport.

“The idea for this really came from thinking back to when we were kids, were observation decks at many airports where people could watch the flights take off and land,” said Tim Mapes, SVP Marketing.

He said: “The Sky Deck takes that concept one step further, providing a unique space where customers can step outside of the terminal, enjoy truly unique views and experience everything else the Delta Sky Club has to offer. It is yet another way we are being innovative and differentiating ourselves from the competition.”
The Atlanta Sky Deck boasts more than 35 seats and features work stations with power outlets, glass panel windows, an open rooftop with cabana and southern-themed vegetation.

The Sky Deck is part of Delta’s investment of more than $3 billion in airport facilities and global products, services and technology to enhance the customer experience in the air and on the ground.

Delta Air Lines serves more than 160 million customers each year, and was named by Fortune magazine as the most admired airline worldwide in its 2011 World’s Most Admired Companies airline industry list.
