The Minister and his entourage were briefed by the Director General of Plans, Research and Development, Air Commodore IR Wayoe, who stated that the GAF was committed to ensuring peace and security in the country.

Dr. Kunbour later toured the headquarters of Army, Air Force and Navy (GAF).

At the Navy  headquarters, Commodore Mark Yawson, Chief Staff Officer, told the Minister that though there had been improvement in equipping the Navy, the increasing demands of maritime security called for improvbing the Ghana Navy to modern standards.

Dr. Kunbour said the tour was fruitful, as it afforded him the opportunity to have deeper insight into the workings of the GAF, and its challenges.
