Databank partners GT Bank

KA-M PixDatabank Group has announced its partnership with the Guaranty Trust (GT) Bank, aimed at providing Ghanaians with enhanced investment and commercial banking experience.

The partnership, the first of its kind, would see Databank set up partner locations in selected GT Bank branches across Ghana to offer its investment solutions and other related services from GT Bank.

It would kick-start with six of GT Bank’s branches at Airport, East Legon, Osu, Ashaiman, Cape Coast and Tamale, after which it would be extended to all GT Bank branches across the country, over the next two years.

Kojo Addae-Mensah, Group Chief Executive Officer of Databank, who launched the partnership in Accra, said the move was to make banking convenient for its investors, as well as help Ghanaians achieve financial independence through saving.

The partnership was also to enable Databank expand its operations to bring the bank closer to its customers.

“Databank has only four branches in the country based in Accra, Tema, Takoradi and Kumasi; we will be moving closer to our clients through our partnership with GT Bank,” he said.

Mr. Addae-Mensah said at Databank’s partner locations, clients would be able to open a Databank mutual fund investment account, check their account balances, and redeem all or part of their investments.

“Databank’s five mutual funds, Epack Investment Fund (Epack), Money Market Fund (MFund), Balanced Fund (BFund), Ark Fund (Ark Fund) and Educational Investment Fund (EdIFund) could also be accessible,” he said.

Mr. Addae-Mensah encouraged Ghanaians to save, no matter how small they earn, to make them financial independent.

The Managing Director of GT Bank, Lekan Sanusi was positive that the partnership would allow GT Bank to provide its clients with the ultimate banking experience by giving them the ability to bank and invest at the same time.

He said, GT Bank has consistently maintained its level of customer satisfaction delivery through the provision of convenient banking locations, products and services.
