Dansoman campus tops Seven Great Princes Academy games

trophyThe Dansoman campus of the Seven Great Princes Senior High School amassed a total of 850 points to win the 2015 edition of the school’s inter-campus sports festival held over the weekend.

The 3-day event held at the Kaneshie Sports Complex and the Dansoman campus of the school brought together over 200 sporting talents to battle for honours in football, basketball, athletics and scrabble among others.

Dansoman SHS dominated the male category taking first position in football, basketball, athletics, table tennis and scrabble leaving Dansoman JHS and Lartebiokorshie JHS to come in second and third places in the various events.

The female category also saw Dansoman SHS sweep the honours in all the events followed by Dansoman JHS with their counterparts from Lartebiokorshie JHS placing last.

Victor Ezugwu from the Dansoman SHS of the school won the Asamoah Gyan trophy for being the overall best athletes for powering his side to win the basketball, football, 200m and 4x100m races.

Rashid Eseel of the SHS Dansoman campus was adjudged the most outstanding male athlete after performing excellently in football as well as winning the 100m, 400m and the 4x100m races while discovery of the festival went to Prince Asramah of Lartebiokorshie SHS.

In the female category, Docas Yeboah from the JHS Dansoman branch was awarded as the overall best athlete after winning the 100m, 200m and helping her football team to place first; Nana Adowa Quansa of the Lartebiokorshie JHS campus was crowned the most outstanding female athlete of the event as she performed exceptionally well in the football competition as well as the 100m finals.

Headmaster of the Dansoman SHS campus, Mr. Daniel Ayiku Mohenu congratulated the students for their effort and charged them to train hard for future in their chosen career disciplines.
