The residence of Mr. Ransford Tetteh, the Editor of Daily Graphic, at Dome Pillar ‘2’, in Accra, was on Monday burgled.
The invaders, reportedly broke the padlocks to doors of his room, forced opened the doors and stole five Kente cloths, worth GH¢10,000.
Nathan Yirenkyi, who has been caretaker of the house, for the past three years, had since been apprehended by the police to assist in investigations.
A police source disclosed this to The Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday. stating that Mr Tetteh had travelled during the Easter festivities when the theft took place.
The police source said Yirenkyi during interrogation, told the police that on that day of the theft, he left the house around 8:30 am to attend nature’s call and buy food, and when he returned, he detected the theft.
The Accra Regional Police Command Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Effia Tenge, confirmed the story to The Ghanaian Times, stating that the case was under investigations.
