Dagaaba-Frafra games for Saturday

The 2018 Dagaaba-Frafra friendly games have been scheduled for Saturday, September 1 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

Activities would include football for both men and women, Tug-of-Peace for men and women, sack race, lime and spoon race, senior citizens’ penalty kicks for men and women as well as cultural displays by groups from both communities.

The games, which are for Dagaaba-Frafra communities within the Accra-Tema Metropolis, would be on the theme “Celebrating Decades of Mutual Friendship and Trust: The Dagaaba-Frafra Way.”

A statement signed and issued by Philip Atinga, Secretary, Joint Planning Committee said Ministers of State, Members of Parliament (MPs), Ethnic Chiefs, opinion leaders, security services, high ranking public and civil servants as well as other groups of people are expected to attend the festival of games.

It said the games festival was founded on a relationship which was hitherto informal but has been nurtured and developed to become a national calendar event in Accra.
