There is the need for organisations to take customer service seriously because it is the foundation of every successful business, William Wulff, Business Development Manager of Koioz School, an institution that trains customer service professionals, has said.
Customer service is the provision of service to clients before, during, and after a purchase.
According to a GNA report, Mr Wulff said this when the Koioz School held a seminar for students at the University of Ghana Business School to re-orient them on the need for good customer service.
The seminar was on the them, “A customer service professional, the success road to your dream career.”
Mr. Wulff noted that customer service was the bedrock of every relationship and every successful organisation, adding that it is about human beings and good relationships.
He said the Koioz School, runs practical training programmes for schools to prepare students for the job market in addition to training staff of an organisation to polish their customer service skills.
Mr. Girish Gurbani, Director of the Koioz School, said Ghana lacked training in standardised customer service operations.
He said many people got offended unintentionally by organisations and businesses because usually the people lacked good customer service skills.
“The Koioz School, would help fill that gap with professional training and international certification, to enable more organisations provide quality customer service of international standard,” Mr. Gurbani added.
