Crusaders Against Idolatry Holds Crusade, Nov. 28

revAN inter-denominational Christian group, Crusaders Against Idolatry (CAA), will on November 28, hold a crusade at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.

Convener and host Evangelist Reverend Prince Nyarko, and guest preacher, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, said the event was being organised against the backdrop of the rise in idolatrous activities such as ‘Sakawa ‘ and other rituals under the guise of getting rich quick overnight in the country.

“ Having travelled the length and breadth of the nation and seen idol signboards with pictures of snakes and other   fearful creatures, we think they are issues of concern for us men of God to save the many perishing souls for Christ, the Rev Nyarko said.

He said in those days, many young people relied on the lies of so-called fetish priests instead of finding jobs, and resorted to the get- rich- quick attitude fueled by some media houses who promote Sakawa and other rituals on their network.

Rev. Nyarko said the crusade, would attract many notorious fetish priests who would confess and disclose the evil deeds of their past life.

He said the crusade would be a wake-up call on the church to condemn evangelists, pastors and prophets, rising to the fame and wealth by selling ‘koko’, holy oil, and anointed water to their congregations instead of preaching to them to turn to Jesus Christ.

In attendance would be other renowned local and international preachers.
