The first in the series of this year’s Cowbell Bike Caravan took place at Tamale on Saturday.
The event attracted hundreds of bikers who rode across the principal streets of Tamale.
It ended at the Jubilee Park where lucky riders walked away with souvenirs including bicycles from Promasidor Ghana Limited, headline sponsors of the event through its Cowbell brand.
It also attracted a lot of cycling fans that thronged the several routes cheering the participants who rode in a fun ambiance.
Events Representative for Cowbell, Inusah Mohammed, was elated at the success chalked at the first of the three regional events, expressing the confidence that the subsequent ones would be better.
The event, he said, is aimed at promoting safe riding and healthy lifestyle among Ghanaians.
The brand Cowbell, Inusah said, considers healthy living among Ghanaians as its priority and as part of its corporate social responsibilities engage the people in healthy activities such as cycling.
He added that, the outfit has invested heavily into the event and was glad it has begun on a bright note.
The event, he said, promises to be exciting at all the three regions and asked the public to look forward for the caravan in the selected regions.
The Kumasi event is slated for this weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with the Accra version set to hit the capital the following week.
