His colleague, Corporal David Anaba also of the Command sustained a fracture when he fell down during the shootout.

The Police PRO said the police believed the family was trailed from the airport.
She said police investigations indicated that, Kingsley Owusu was the robber and a team of personnel were dispatched to Asofa to effect his arrest. ASP Tenge said when the suspect spotted the police, he opened fire, killing Aballo on the spot and escaped.
She said a search in the room revealed a pump action gun two locally- manufactured pistols, 16 life cartridges, a sharp knife, a shirt and other items.
She said the body of Aballo had since been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Corporal Aballo, who joined the Ghana Police Service in 2007, was married with five children.
