Coming King Prep/JHS Sch. students graduate

Coming King 1The Coming King Nursery, Preparatory and Junior High School (JHS) in La has held its first graduation ceremony for its first batch of JHS graduates.

Under the theme “Quality Holistic Education is the Key to National Development,” it saw 14 students graduating from JHS level and 64 pupils graduating from Kindergarten to primary one.

The La Dadekotopon Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Bernice A. Addae speaking at the ceremony said it was time for teachers, parents and other stakeholders in education to take stock of their achievements and improve on it.

She said education and development of children should be the responsibility of everyone and not the sole responsibility of teachers.

She urged parents not to relent in the education of their children because it was only through education that children would become responsible citizens.

The Municipal Director of Education advised the graduands to be mindful of bad friends who would negatively influence them but rather take their books seriously.

She added that the completion of JHS was the beginning of their educational ladder that would require determination and hard work.

She asked the teachers to also learn and gather enough and adequate information relevant for their job.

The Proprietress of the school, Mrs. Felicia Okoe said the goal of the school was to create a well balanced individual with requisite knowledge, skills, values and aptitudes for self actualisation from the very young age.

“This will be a standard of measures as the child grows to have a positive socio-economic and political transformation of our beloved country,” she said.

She asked parents to keep investing in children and ensure that all materials needed for their education were provided.

The graduands were awarded with certificates while deserving students were awarded prizes for their excelling performances in various subjects.
