CIPS honours CEO of Public Procurement Authority

The Chief Executive of Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Mr. Samuel Sallas-Mensah has been awarded with a Life Time Achiever Honour (Gold Category) at the second annual awards and Dinner Dance of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)-Africa held in Accra recently.

The institute recognised the pivotal role PPA played in advancing the course of professionalising the procurement practice in Ghana.

The awards ceremony was on the theme, “Procurement and Supply Chain professionals: Raising our voice towards national development”.

Mr. Sallas-Mensah thanked the institute for the award and pledged to ensure enhanced procurement processes in the country.

The event brought together over 100 procurement professionals in the country and was chaired by Mr. Emmanuel Fianko, a procurement specialist.

Professor Douglas Boateng , a renowned procurement scholar based in South Africa also donated some copies of his latest publication: “Executive insights into strategic sourcing” which was largely sponsored by the South African Airports Company (ACSA).
