CIMG honours Chief Fire Officer

Photo.Ebo GormanA Fellow Member status of the Chattered Institute of Marketing, Ghana, (CIMG) has been conferred on the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Dr. Albert Brown Gaisie, by the Institute for his dedication to the course of the CIMG and the Ghana National Fire Service.

The CIMG also inducted Mr. Adewale Alade Adeoye-Famosa, an advertising manager and Chief Executive Officer of Primus Advertising Limited as a Fellow Member, for his contribution to the development of the marketing and advertising in the country.

At the CIMG’s 27th Presidential Dinner Dance in Accra on Saturday, seven persons were also admitted to full membership status, six upgraded to membership status and eight corporate organisations were also inducted as members organisations of the CIMG.

The event was also used to induct 43 new associate members, recognise 21 members, who have graduated from CIMG’s Digital Marketing Classes and acknowledge six Emerging Associate Members.

The dinner was on the theme “Forging Stronger Customer Relationships in a Multi-Channel Environment: The Marketing Connectivity Factor.”

The Presidential Dinner Night, on the calendar of the CIMG, is the last event of the institute in a year, and is also used as a platform to network and build stronger ties.

President of the CIMG, Mr. Kojo Mattah, said marketers have a role to play in the development of the country and we must not underplay their importance.

According to him, building strong customer relationships within the professional marketing environment was a pre-requisite for a successful and continuous business engagement, which contributed to economic growth.

Mr. Mattah said it was important marketers reminded themselves of the essentials needed in building, maintaining and implementing their programmes.

He asked marketing practitioners to consider their clients as their employers and take advantage of the emergence of digital technology to expand and transform their business.

Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani, the Chief Executive Officer of Group Ideal, said marketing marked the beginning and end of business success, because “globalisation and deregulation in the current business environment, investing in the right marketing foundation, pays dividends in the form of increased sales and revenue for sustained growth”.

Dr. Brown Gaisie, on behalf of the inductees pledged their continuous support for the CIMG, to ensure the mission and vision statements of the CIMG were realised.
