CHOCHO AWARDChocho Industries Limited was among recipients of the prestigious Ghana Made Products and Exhibition awards held at the Banquet Hall, State House.

The award ceremony was to recognise its outstanding achievements in the herbal industry.  Two of its popular products — Chocho cream and Chocho Hair Food were adjudged the Best Cosmetic and personal care products of the year, 2013.

And for their outstanding achievement, they received a plaque and a certificate. Hajia Jemila Boateng, wife of Alhaji Mustapha Boateng, CEO of Chocho Industries described the feat as a testimony of the company’s good works.

“This is certainly not by our might, considering where and how we started. We consider  this award  as a privilege, and we want to thank the organisers for recognising our good works.

“This will certainly urge us on to go the extra mile by way of production and adding more to our product lines. We will continue to do more in the country and beyond,” Hajia Boateng added.

President of Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG), Sam Ato Gaizie pointed out that the initiative was intended to reward excellence in the Ghanaian manufacturing industry as well as empower local manufacturers whose activities create job opportunities in the country.

He said, “Chocho won the award in that category because of its concentration of herbs in the manufacturing of its products. We were at its factory site in Suhum to witness what goes into their products, hence the award.”

The Ghana-Made Product Awards  and Exhibition is an initiative of Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG) held under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Finance and the Ghana Standards Authority.
