Chinese Ambassador to Ghana calls on NPP

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Sung Baohongh on Friday paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Asylum-Down headquarters in Accra.

She was received by the Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko and the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.

Ambassador Sung commended the leadership of the party for their successful intra-party elections and also praised the party’s rank and file for electing competent leaders.

She added that, China is ready to deepen its bilateral relations with political parties and Ghana as a whole. “We never forget our old friends,” she stressed.

The General Secretary of the party, Mr. Kwabena Agyepong thanked the ambassador for her visit and hoped that the ties between the party and China will be strengthened. He further appealed to the ambassador to continue to assist the country in our developmental efforts.

On his part, the Chairman of the party, Mr. Paul Afoko thanked H. E. Mrs. Sung Baohongh for her visit and expressed the hope that the collaboration between our two countries will continue to deepen.
