Ceasefire : Akufo – Addo Urges

AkufoThe twice presidential candidate and flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called for a ceasefire in the current intra-conflict within the NPP.

In a press release issued yesterday and signed by Nana Akufo-Addo, he said, “I have noticed with deep regret the events that took place on Tuesday at our party’s head office during a press conference addressed by the national chairman of our party”, Paul Afoko.“It ended in unhappy and regretful incidents of violence”.

The statement appealed to all NPP supporters and officials to remain calm and focused, and desists from actions that could undermine the unity of the party.

“We are all members of one family and we should find a way to deal with our issues in a satisfactory manner,” it stated.

It added, “I urged all NPP members to promote the things that bring us together and eschew those that seek to divide us”.

“We must, always, be guided and guarded those constantly by an un-compromising sense of unity, fellowship and greater purpose,” it concluded.
