Cattle stop presidential convoy

CATTLE,,A police motor-rider leading a convoy of vehicles carrying officials was compelled to stop to allow a herd of cattle to cross a stretch of the Motorway between Tema and Ashiaman last Saturday.

The speeding vehicles, which were part of an advance party of the Presidential Convoy, had to come to a halt to avoid crashing into the animals.

Other motorists and onlookers expressed worry at the manner in which animals are allowed to roam and cross the  highways, posing threat to lives.

They have, therefore, called on the authorities to check this to avert any serious accidents.
