The Ministries Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Joseph Oklu Gyamerah, told The Ghanaian Times in Accra on Monday, that at about 11am on May 7, Dzifa went to the resort to refresh himself.
The suspect, according to ACP Gyamerah, picked a quarrel with one Ayegbe whom he alleged owed him GH¢200, so Adjei ordered them to go out as they were disturbing public peace.
He said Ayegbe went out but Dzifa refused, when Adjei attempted pushing him out, Dzifa pulled out a knife from his trousers and stabbed him (Adjei) in the chest.
“The victim, who was holding a tea cup by then, threw the cup at the accused also inflicting a cut on his head,” ACP Gyamerah said adding that Adjei was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in a critical condition.
