The ceremony was attended by a large number of the clergy from across the country and church members, including personalities from other Pentecostal churches.

Apostle Dr Michael Nimo, a former chairman of the church delivering the sermon on the topic “Wage a good warfare” urged the new administration to illustrate the Ministry of Apostle Paul and to wage a good war that will benefit the Lord.

He said the true gospel of God had been adulterated in the Churches these days leading to the manipulation for money, divorce, elevating Satan over God, and engaging in broad day corruption.

Apostle Nimo urged them to have a sound conscience to be able to distinguish between good and bad warfare, and to know the actual warfare to engage for the Lord.

He urged the chairman and the other members to see their calling to leadership as a challenge to restore the faith and practices of the church bequeathed by their forefathers, follow their landmark and stand for the truth at all times.

Apostle Nimo therefore, advised the chairman not use his power to settle personal scores to punish his perceived enemies, indulging in covetousness, but rather with passion, rebuke wrongdoing and promoting of love and sacrifice for the unity of all.

He admonished him to eschew pride, greed and arrogance and be committed to the task entrusted into his hands, embracing everyone of diverse background without discrimination and personality fight, thereby leaving behind a good legacy.

In a statement by Apostle Yeboah, he noted that great responsibility had been entrusted into their hands, a challenge they have embraced with all humility and hoped that with the help of God and support and unity of the church there would be a desirable growth.

He assured that his leadership would work to deepen the bond of unity that exists in the church and called on the church also to play their part to create a strong and a united church to the glory of God.

Aposle Yeboah said as a classical Pentecostal denomination with the core values of holiness, they had the responsibility to let their light shine before men, therefore, his leadership woud emphasise on holy living among the clergy and members of the church.

He pledged the support of the church to the government in the quest to ensure social justice and equity for all and contribute her quota to the development of the country to improve on the lives of the citizenry.
