“The government is proud of what we have accomplished in 22 months and are certain and resolved to deliver a future that meets the hopes and aspirations of the citizenry through the budget and into the medium term”.

“The budget will ensure optimal deployment of resources and preserve fiscal stability,

the government remains resolute in enhancing the livelihood of Ghanaians by building an economy that is more viable and resilient enough for private sector growth. We have a vision of building a Ghana Beyond Aid, a Ghana that will be more independent and won’t run to foreign donors for financial support”.

“The youth must also take advantage of the enabling environment and opportunities that avail to them with the policies and programmes in the budget that will inure to them and start-up businesses and entrepreneurship”.

“The citizenry must disregard the ‘ugly noises’ being made by the National Democratic Congress and support the President to fulfill all his promises,” Maame Aboagye noted.

But the Minority in Parliament, unimpressed with the budget statement, described it as hopeless. –myjoyonline.com
