Broll Ghana To Manage Two Retail Facilities

Mr Kofi AmpongBroll Ghana has secured the management of two new retail facilities, West Hills Mall and the Junction Shopping Mall bringing its property management portfolio to over $500 million.

The deal cements the company’s leadership in the provision of property related services in Ghana.

West Hills Mall (WHM) is the largest single-phase modern shopping centre in Ghana, a facility which has attracted top retail tenants such as Shoprite, The Palace, Edgars, Jet, Truworths, Identity, Foschini and Woolworths. WHM is owned by Delico Investment Properties Ghana Limited and Social Security and National Insurance Trust of Ghana (SSNIT).

The Junction Shopping Mall developed by RMB/Westport from South Africa is a neighbourhood mall located near the Maritime Academy, Tema servicing the over 400,000 inhabitants in the primary catchment area. Some of the key tenants are; Shoprite, Jets, Mr. Price, Nike, Swatch, Lord of the Wings, Levi and TM Lewin.

Mr. Kofi Ampong, Broll Ghana’s Chief Executive Officer, in a statement issued in Accra yesteday said the company’s engagement to manage the two retail facilities was a strong vote of confidence in its retail management experience.

“This engagement solidifies Broll Ghana’s leadership position and ties in with our expansion plans. The company is presently providing retail broking services for the 15,000sqm Achimota Mall and the 27,000sqm Kumasi Mall being developed by Atterbury and Delico Investment respectively,” he said.

Broll Ghana’s clientele spreads across the country and includes but is not limited to — Atterbury/Sanlam (Accra Mall), Delico Investment (West Hills Mall), RMB Westport (The Junction), Social Security and National Insurance Trust, SIC Insurance Company, Ghana Shippers Authority and A& C Development.

Others are Hollywood Developers, Primrose Homeowners Association, Hawkrad Construction, Polocourt Homeowners Association, Amerigan Resources, Ghana Heights, Ecobank and Check Point.

The company directly employs more than 96 people and indirectly employs several hundred through the various service providers. It has over the years embarked on several social intervention programmes.
