Stakeholders of Accra Hearts of Oak have called on the Management of the club to bring back their former coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
They made the call at a stakeholders meeting held at the club’s secretariat on Saturday in Accra.
Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Brong Ahafo branch of the Regional Chapters Committee (BA-RCC), Ishmael Yussif revealed that, fans believe the club will succeed when they bring back Kenichi.
“My people in the Brong Ahafo are not happy with the team’s performance and all they want is management to bring Kenichi” he said.
“We were performing very well in the league until Kenichi was sacked and now nothing is going well for us. All we want now is for them to bring the man back because we believe he can achieve a lot with Hearts,” he added.
Vice Chairman of the National Chapters Committee (NCC), Barima Atuahene in an interview with the Times Sports supported the call to bring back Kenichi and pledged to ensure the management brings the Japanese trainer back.
Accra Hearts of Oak’s dream of winning seem to have ended after slipping to the fourth position on the league log with 42 points, six points behind leaders Wa All Stars.
Kenichi was brought in ahead of the current season and looks shaky in his pre season games, but managed to guide the Phobians to third place in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.
