The Bridge Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Accra has launched a partnership project to engage in collaborative initiatives towards promoting education in deprived areas.
Although the Foundation is currently engaged in a series of development projects in the education sector, it believes collaborating with other institutions would help to advance the mission of supporting national efforts to boost education.
The Foundation is constructing a junior high school classroom block, a toilet facility and setting up of sports and education centre at Kokrobite, a fishing community in the Greater Accra Region.
The Foundation’s vision is working for a generation of youth positively empowered by Godly character and positive habits, and for them to secure a holistic education to develop into productive adults.
It has a mission to promote human resource development by focusing on assisting disadvantaged children and young people through education, vocational and technical skills training support and sports development.
The Bridge Foundation runs a youth resource and training centre at Roman Ridge, Accra which provides opportunities for basic literacy skills, ICT skills training, art and craft and sports development. The centre consists of classrooms, a library, gymnasium and ICT laboratory.
Beneficiaries of its programmes include out-of-school children, orphaned and street children, and also those engaged in worst forms of labour.
