Boakye-Djan Eyes Jaman South NDC Chairmanship

Major Boakye-Djan (Rtd.), Spokesperson for the erstwhile Armed Forces Revolu-tionary Council (AFRC), has filed his nomination to contest for the chairmanship of the Jaman South Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He was the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency in 2012 general elections but lost.

Others vying for the position are Mr. Paul Bediako Hockey and Alhaji Ibrahim Osman Kumi, incumbent deputy youth organiser of the party.

The contestants submitted their nomination forms to Kenneth Kwanangwa Ankamah, NDC Jaman South Constituency, acting secretary at Drobo.

Mr. Peter Kwabena Ankomah, NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency during the 2008 election, is contesting for constituency secretary.

Another contestant for the constituency secretaryship are Nana Joseph Kwadwo Agyemang, assemblyman for Dwenem Electoral Area, Jaman South District Co-ordinator of the NFED and Jacob Mensah.
