Black Wonders, Bank of Ghana draw

Ghana’s deaf football team, the Black Wonders staged a second half rally to hold the Bank of Ghana (BoG) football team to a pulsating 2-2 draw in a special friendly match played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The Wonders who are preparing for a series of international friendly games in England were touted as favourites but the bankers had other ideas for the deaf footballers.
Blending the youth with a number of oldies, the bankers stunned their host with the opener when Mustapha Abdulai outrun his markers to fire home in an eventful first half for the bankers.
The Black Wonders assumed control of the game and dominated proceedings but conceded the second from veteran Adjei Nortey to end the half on top.
With their backs against the wall, the Black Wonders went straight into action and attacked the bankers to reduce the tally in the initial stage through Gayheart Clayman before Nana Amoako levelled the scores in the 80th minute.
Team Manager of BoG, Louis Asu said it was a good exercise for both sides, adding that, the BoG was ready for any corporate side.
