Black Maidens Get Set For Costa Rica

black maidensThe Vice Chairman of the Black Maidens Management Committee, Samuel Oduro Nyarko has revealed that though the Ghana FA has no scout monitoring the Maidens FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup Group B opponents ahead of the mundial, Coach Evans Adotey has secured six video clips of – North Korea, Germany and Canada and will hold video analysis sessions with the team ahead of the Costa Rica 2014 tournament.

During the Azerbaijan 2012 World Cup, Coach Masud Dramani led the Black Maidens to a bronze medal winning feat. Oduro Nyarko is confident Evans Adotey can go one better by leading the team to reach the final.

“As for the Coach (Evans Adotey), if we were not confident in him, the GFA will not confirm him after Didi Dramani had left so we have every confidence in the Coach and we believe that if our training goes well and we don’t have any injuries, I think that the girls will be ready for the World Cup stage come March 15th,” Oduro Nyarko told Power 103.5FM Sports.

He added that, “We have somebody to get that for us so we have the clips (of Ghana’s World Cup group opponents) and as I speak to you now the girls watch the clips at their Prampram base and the coach takes them through the various technical issues that will be necessary. We have clips of our opponents in the tournament and I believe that is going to help us a lot.”

The Black Maidens, who will emplane to California on February 26th to hold their 10-day pre-Costa Rica 2014 camping, will open their World Cup campaign on March 15th against North Korea, then battle Germany three days later before facing Canada in the final Group B match on March 22nd.
