Binatone launches 2-year warranty on products

Binatone Ghana, distributors of home electronic appliances, has launched a two-year warranty on its electrical products to commemorate the brand’s twenty years existence in Ghana and 40th anniversary in Africa.

Dubbed: ‘2 Year Warranty,’ the offer will provide an indefinite opportunity to clients to send their appliances to Binatone’s accredited sale centres for repairs and replacement, when faults are detected.

Speaking at the launch of the promotion in Accra on Tuesday, Mr. Venu Babu, Managing Director  in Charge of  Ghana operations,  said the offer was also to build consumer confidence in the company’s products.

“The goal of Binatone Ghana is to give our consumers and clients value for money for all the items they purchase hence the promotion,” he said.

He said the offer which had no conditions attached would run for an indefinite period that would take effect from the beginning of February this year.

Mr. Babu explained that the initiative would be identified through a new packaging logo and would be available on the product’s cartons.

The Managing Director assured customers that old Binatone products were qualified for servicing and replacement under the new promotion.

“Customers who have purchased Binatone  products before the offer begin will  be covered under the two-year warranty such that, if a customer has a valid one-year warranty that still applies, the product would be warranted for additional one year, describing it as a win-win situation for clients,” he stressed.

Mr. Babu said  the company had  a wide distribution and sales network through which customers will be able to receive their two-year warranty cards on every purchase.

The Group Managing Director and Global Chief Executive Officer,  Mr. Sunil Lalvani, in his remark said  the company’s 20-year operation in the country,  which has also coincided with its 40th anniversary and existence in Africa,  will be marked with series of events.

He disclosed that, the business which came into existence in 1958 in the United Kingdom as a result of the desire to meet the modern lifestyle needs of customers, had  been actively present in Africa and through this experience, it understands how much Ghanaian customers value a product-warranty on electrical appliances, especially with the recent instability of power supply.

He said the wide penetration of Binatone products in the country had shown that, Ghanaians are choosing convenience and efficiency in their lives than ever before.
