Best Western Premier Hotel inducted into CIMG

Best Western Premier Hotel (BWP) was at the weekend inducted into the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG’s) corporate membership.
The induction of the four-star hotel into CIMG’s league of corporate members took place at the institute’s 27th Presidential Dinner Dance held at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
As a result of the induction, staff of the hotel will now be entitled to professional training programmes at a minimal cost.
Also, in-house training of staff and provision of consultancy services by CIMG will be provided at discounted costs.
The approval of corporate membership will come with numerous other benefits including free legal helpline from the Legal and Ethics Committee of CIMG.
In an interview with Times Business after the event, Deputy General Manager of BWP Hotel, Mr. Iddrisu Yamusah said “we are excited to be part of the institute because it gives us a lot of credibility”.
He was confident that the induction would spur it on to continue to extend excellent services to its numerous clients.
“We are happy to be recognised as one of the credible companies in the country,” he said.
Mr. Yamusah stated that “we are going to work tirelessly to get our customers what they need”.
In all, 64 persons and seven corporate organisations were inducted into membership, while eight of them were upgraded.
Explaining what went into the approval and induction, the CIMG said members seeking upgrade who did not have the required professional qualification but had considerable marketing experience were made to write a project paper on selected emerging themes.
“The aim of the assignment is to allow candidates the opportunity to critically assess and evaluate the significance of various emerging or contemporary themes and be able to demonstrate the ability to recognise the strategic importance of key themes within the candidates sector or industry,” Chairperson of the Membership Committee, Mrs. Sandy Kojo-Andah stated.
The candidates, according to her, should be able to reflect on and consider how to demonstrate skills and ability to anticipate the future impact of new trends and emerging themes on their chosen sector.
