Benpong Methodist Primary from the Eastern Region, thrashed Kpone Bawaleshie Primary in the Greater Accra Region 5-0 to emerge winners of the Zone Four Milo Champions League competition played at the Koforidua Secondary Technical Park.
The team, following the remarkable results has booked a place to the national finals of the MILO® Champions League in Kumasi. Zone Four was made up of schools drawn from the Greater Accra, Eastern and Volta regions and the game was the last of the zonal level which started a month ago.
Benpong, Kpone Bawaleshie and Camboni Primary from the Volta region also booked their places in the finals of the competition to be played between July 9 and 11 at the Paa Joe Park in Kumasi (KNUST).
Speaking ahead of the final, Mr. Jude Adison, the Category Business Manager (Beverages) of Nestle Ghana Limited was optimistic that the event would be successful.
He assured the whole nation that the final event would be broadcast live on GTV and GTV Sports Plus, and further asked for the support of all Ghanaians in their quest to help develop talents for mother Ghana.
Other teams in the final include Kalpohin Primary from the Northern region, Garu Presby Primary from Upper East, Yayumbe from the Upper West, Kintampo Methodist from Brong Ahafo and Buobai Primary from the Ashanti, West Ridge from Central and Bia Yawmetwa from the Western region.
At stake is a whopping GH¢10,000 prize money and other souvenirs from Milo.
