BBC Industrials Company (Ghana) Limited, manufacturers of Leyland Emulsion and Leylac Gloss brand of paints yesterday launched its new product in Accra.
The new paint, Wondercoat, produced from pure acrylic resin, is designed to deliver professional finish for both interior and exterior surfaces in Ghana and beyond.
Launching the product, the Administrative Manager of the company, Madam Amal Odaimat said the new paint could be used as decorative and protective coatings for surfaces such as plaster and concrete walls, brickwork, floor coating, wallboards, primed metal and woodwork.
The new paint has an extended lifespan of 10 years and has strong resistance against harsh environmental and weather conditions, and also has antifungal protection against microbial growth, environmentally friendly, provides high opacity and dries to a smooth gloss.
The product which is in two types — gloss finish and silk finish with the aim of giving variety to customers, is suitable for homes, offices and especially public areas where dirt resistance and easy maintenance is required.
The company also opened its ultramodern showroom equipped with state of the art technology on the Spintex road.
The showroom according to the General Manager, Mr. Ayman Aly, was to showcase the company’s range of paints and paint-cure products for industries and residential properties around the community and its environs.
He said the facility was equipped with a mixing technology that could accurately tint paint to any colour of the customer’s choice, adding that “It was also to showcase our new range of premium paint products for both industrial and domestic application.”
