The Reverend Mark Nti Frimpong, Head Pastor of the Takoradi First Baptist Church,  has been inducted as the national president of the Ministers’ Conference of the Ghana Baptist Convention.

Rev. Frimpong had served the Baptist Convention in various capacities since he became a founding member of the church in May  1978, after he was baptised by  Dr. Eugene Verner, a baptist missionary.

Before his election to the high office of the church, he was the national vice president of the Ministers’ Conference.

Rev. Enoch Thompson, vice president in charge of the ministries, who gave the act of induction, reminded the newly-inducted president that the Bible should be his guide in leading the church and the nation.

The vice president in charge of ministries  said the reformation of Ghana and its spiritual renewal must be paramount, to curb the unacceptable social vices that seemed to be the order of the day.

In a sermon,  Rev Fred Deegbe, Chairman of the Denominational Board of the church, entreated Rev Frimpong to be guided by integrity, forgiveness and peace in his quest to build the church.

He also admonished the newly-inducted executives of the conference to unite in the Lord and trust in Him to be able to accomplish the task bestowed on them.
