The Omanhene of Himan in the Prestea Huni-Valley constituency, Nana Nteboa Pra IV, has appealed to Ghanaians to give the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, all the support that he needs as he aspires to be the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, Mr Bagbin with all his contributions to the country had made no mistake to contest the flagbearer position of the party.

“He should be encouraged since he has made no mistake to contest the NDC flagbearer position with former President Mahama and other party members, we know Mr Bagbin has a good heart in all his life, whatever he has done is for the good of the country,” Nana Nteboa noted.

He made the observation when Mr Bagbin paid a courtesy call on him at his palace last Sunday.

“I’ve been closely monitoring the public life of Mr Bagbin and can conclude that his quest for the flagbearer position of the NDC is not a misplaced priority.

“In the history of Parliament, Mr Bagbin stands tall and deserves to be President of the Republic of Ghana considering his numerous contributions to the development of the country.”

“You can’t erase Mr Bagbin’s name from the history of Parliament because his contributions are enormous, he is also the longest serving Member of the august house, if you look at the portfolio he is holding, he is the sixth most powerful person in the country.

“This should send a signal availing himself for the NDC flagbearer position is a good omen for the country and hasn’t made any mistake because when it comes to democratic governance, he understands it better.
“I urged the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament to try as much as possible to explain to the citizenry in clear terms what he intends to do for the party and the nation when given the mandate and also not to back off supporting whoever wins the contest should the delegates decide otherwise,” Nana Pra admonished. –kasapafmonline.com
