Assa Abloy committed to Ghanaian market — MD

ASA PIXDespite the economic challenges confronting the country, the largest global supplier of intelligent lock and security solutions Assa Abloy says it is committed to the Ghanaian market.

Speaking to the media at a ceremony to unveil the company’s modern showroom at Osu in Accra, Managing Director of Assa Abloy Ghana, James Nyagah said Ghana was still attractive to businesses.

He said the opening of the showroom followed a successful four years of operations in Ghana.

He said the company had launched the latest technologies to develop innovative solutions that have improved the lives Ghanaians who uses the company’s products.

Mr. Nyagah said apart from Accra, the company had opened branches in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Takoradi in the Western Region, adding that another branch would soon be opened in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana.

He said “the company uses the right quality of products and we give the customers value for their money. They no longer have to fly out to import these products.”

“One in every 10 lock and security installations worldwide uses ASSA ABLOY products and this has motivated the company to expand into emerging markets, including West Africa,” he said

ASSA ABLOY was formed in 1994 through the merger of ASSA in Sweden and Abloy in Finland. Since then ASSA ABLOY has grown from a regional company to an international group with around 44,000 employees.
