ASHMA extends invites to businesses to relocate into Ashaiman

The Chief Executive for the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA), Albert Boakye Okyere has thrown an invitation to the business community to come to the area because there are a lot of business opportunities.

He said currently almost all the financial institutions had branches in the municipality and creating employment but there was still room for improvement.

Mr. Okyere who disclosed this said the area was inhabited by people from various parts of the continent and ethnics groups from all walks of life which makes it a viable place to do business.

“The area has over 300,000 people occupying 31,000 square metres,” he revealed.

He said plans were in place to make it a 24-hour liveable city where people could do businesses at any time of the day in a safe atmosphere.

The MCE said security and lighting system of the entire municipality being improved so that criminals do not take advantage of people and properties.

He mentioned the introduction of the “on street parking system” to ensure orderly parking of vehicles as well as raise revenue.

He said  plans were still in place to get hawkers off the street to ease the traffic situation to save time and also make road users more comfortable.

He called on corporate institutions to take advantage of the opportunities being created and support the Assembly whenever they are called upon to help in developmental projects.
