The Accra Regional Police Command had received items worth GH¢20,600 from Ashfoam Limited, at a ceremony in Accra
The company donated the items that include mattresses and paints, to support the police during the 2016 elections.
The Financial Administrator of the company, Mr. William Forson, presenting the items, said there was the need for the company to support the Ghana Police Service to fulfil its mandate of marinating law and order.
Mr. Forson commended the personnel of the Service for their dedication to duty even at the peril of their lives.
He assured the Police Command of Ashfoam’s continuous support in helping them achieve their goals.
The Deputy Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Paul Ayittey, thanked the company for the gesture, and said the items would be used for the intended purpose.
He said the company had over the years supported the police in the discharge of their duties.
ACP Ayittey urged other organisations to support the police in fighting crime in the country.
