The newly installed Chief of Ashaley Botwe, Nii Afutu Kotey Gbomosane II, has assured of his readiness to help improve sanitation, education and health in the area.

“Toward this, some plots of land have been allocated for the construction of a hospital, clinics and schools, through the collaboration of the district assembly and other stakeholders,” he said, adding that work would soon begin on them.

Nii Afutu disclosed this when he was welcomed officially to the family house of the Nii Mantse Kwei We at Nungua.

The Nii Mantse Kwei We has traditional links with the Nikoi Tse We of Teshie which enstooled him.

He said facilities including toilets would be provided at various locations to ensure proper sanitation.

In an address, Nii Afotey Anokwafo I, Head of the Nii Mantse Kwei We said the Head and Kingmakers of the Nikoi Tse We of Teshie, were part of the larger Nii Mantse Kwei We, and that the installation of Nii Gbomosane II at Ashaley Botwe would bring unity to the two family houses, and enable them to forge ahead for the development of the area.

Nii Gbomosane was installed on May 9, following the death of his predecessor, Ebenezer Kotey Nikoi, five years ago.

The Kingmakers of the Nikoi Tse We of Teshie are made up of Numo Abose Ashaley, Numo Nikoi Ashaley, Numo Amonfio Kotey and the Klana Wulomo, Numo Amasah.
