The All People’s Congress (APC) has opened its parliamentary nominations to select candidates in the various constituencies to contest the forthcoming election.
A statement signed by the APC General Secretary, Mr. Razak Kojo Poku, said the party’s parliamentary aspirants have up to July 8 to file their nominations.
It said the nomination form could be picked at a non-refundable fee of GH¢ 200.00 at its national headquarters at Haatso-Westlands, West Legon, in Accra, between 0800 and 1700 hours.
There is, however, a special dispensation for the youth and people with disability – they would not pay anything for the forms, according to the statement.
It said the filing of nominations would be followed by the vetting of all prospective candidates on Monday, July 11, at the party’s regional offices, adding that that every aspiring candidate must satisfy the qualification requirement of the 1992 constitution.
The aspirants would be also expected to meet all relevant provisions for election, as enshrined in the constitution of the APC.
