Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, Paramount Chief of Anfoega Traditional Area, has appealed to citizens of Anfoega in the North Dayi Constituency, to contribute towards the construction of a multi-million community centre complex for the area.
He said any such effort would reciprocate the sacrifices made by their forebearers who constructed the old community centre which now in a deplorable state.
He gave the advice, when he was joined by the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo, as well as Stephen Timinca, District Chief Executive for North Dayi, George Loh, Member of Parliament for the area and some citizens from Accra, to launch an appeal for funds in aid of the project.
He said the provision of the seed money would help start the construction of the facility on time.
Togbe Hodo assured that he and his sub-chiefs would ensure total development of the traditional area and would never rely on the government alone to bring development to the area.
For his part, Mr. Ganyaglo, a citizen from the area, urged the people to contribute towards the development of the area and pledged his support for the project.
The District Chief Executive, Stephen Timinca said the assembly was ready to provide any assistance towards the completion of the project.
