Algeria names AWCON provisional squad

Radia Fertoul, head coach of Algeria’s women’s national team, has named a provisional squad for this year’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) to be hosted in Ghana from November 17 – December 1, 2018.

Olympique Marseille sensational left back, Mograne Belkhite has made the squad for this year’s AWCON, whilst Khroub playmaker Bekheda Fethia has also been named in the squad.

Canadian based Imane Chabel also made the 24-female squad but star striker Naïma Bouhenni could not make the squad after suffering an ankle injury.

Fertoul is expected to trim the squad and announce the final team before their tournament opener against on November 17, 2018 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The “Fennecs” as they are nicknamed are in the same group with host Ghana, Cameroon and Mali.
