A GHc 150,000 two-classroom kindergarten block for Alavanyo-Abehenease in the Hohoe municipality, has been commissioned.

The project, which was funded by a German philanthropist, Mamaga Akosua I, who is also the Paramount Development Queen of the area, has an office, store and a two-seater KVIP toilet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Togbega Tsedze Atakora VII, Paramount Chief of Alavanyo Traditional Area, lauded objectives of the project, and urged the people to take utmost care of the structure.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mr John Kodzo Teku, described the facility as a timely response to the contemporary educational needs of the community, and urged parents to ensure that it benefitted their children.

For her part, Mamaga Akosua said that the kindergarten thanked the community for the collaboration in the implementation of the building project, and pledged to support the area with more development projects, “which I hope will be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and togetherness.”
