Flagbearer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor. Joshua Alabi has pledged to end the dream of a second four-year term by President Nana Akufo-Addo if elected flagbearer in the December presidential primary.
He asked the delegates to vote for him to lead them into the 2020 presidential election and take the party from opposition back to government.

“If you vote me as your flagbearer, by the grace of God I will give President Akufo-Addo one term,” Prof Alabi, the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) told delegates in the Eastern Region on a four-day campaign tour where he addressed them at separate meetings at Okere, New Juaben South, Asuogyaman, Lower Manya, Upper Manya and Yilo Krobo constituencies.

“After I give him one term, by the grace of God I will not be president for only one term but will be President of the Republic of Ghana for two terms, President Akufo-Addo should begin to pack out of the Jubilee House the day I will be pronounced winner of the NDC flagbearer race.

“The day President Akufo-Addo will hear that I have won the flagbearership contest of the NDC, he will start packing from the seat of government,” Prof Alabi stressed.
